My name is Lucille Cameron, and I am 96 years old. God has kept me here for a purpose, and I do not want to miss out. I want to be found worthy of the assignment. Life is like the four Seasons. In the summer of our youth, we spend our early years trying to find purpose. We enter our spring season with determination and an agenda for life, and our choices become wiser and more metered, heading toward our chosen pathways. It’s usually at this time of our lives that we seek something greater than ourselves. Most of us find it in Jesus Christ, but not all. In our fall, we are older, carrying the regrets and scars gained along the way. There are disappointments, losses, and rebounds, and in our winter season, there is a settling. Because we know that there are more years behind us than ahead. We want our lives to matter; we need to leave a legacy. I wrote this book with my favorite recipes and lessons learned over these nine decades. I dedicate this book to those I have enjoyed cooking for. I pray that you feel my love and passion for the art of hospitality and making people happy through food. I also encourage anyone at any age with a dream or plan lying dormant somewhere in a drawer collecting dust, for it is in these seemingly forgotten dreams that the most beautiful accomplishments can be born. Shake off the dust and pursue the dream until it becomes an accomplishment. I dedicate this book to my seven children, without whom life would have no meaning.
