It's time we talked about trauma.
Contemporary Western medicine has come a long way, but along with the great improvements in lifespan, and the elimination of many common illnesses, has come an increase in challenges like depression, addiction, increased suicide rates, and the degradation of families.
These are often thought of as the ‘ailments of the modern age’. It seems that while our bodies have been getting more resistant thanks to Western medicine, our minds, and our souls, still have a lot of ground to cover.
At the center of it all: trauma. And at the center of that: our subconscious.
It's still considered one of the most mysterious elements of the human mind/body ecosystem, but as we continue to learn more, we see how deeply fundamental its role in processing and understanding the traumas that shape us.
I set out to write this book with a mission to help remove the shroud of mystery from the topic.
The clear goal of this book is to show how trauma is both simpler than people might realize, while being more complexly integrated into how we evolve and mature as people.
In the writing process, I drew from over 35 years of research in Kabbalah, and over 15 years working with individuals to overcome their trauma. In that time, what I've learned and witnessed about the subconscious and its power to recall and heal trauma, is astounding.
The result is a comprehensive look at Trauma and the subconscious, based on truth, direct stories from individuals who've overcome it, and established medical research on the subject.
It's a fresh and simple take on understanding trauma in its most distilled form. I hope it leads to much more discussion and progress.
