Dr. Karla-La and her family relocated to Westfield in 2018 and she is incredibly pleased to share the place she now affectionately calls home through the eyes of an outside/insider and a happy-go-lucky giant and jovial snail. AUTHOR, illustrator, poet, trans-earthly voyager, and joy-star, Dr. Karla-la completed her doctorate in Transformative Education at the California Institute of Integral Studies where her research focused on symbolic language and non-verbal interventions for grievers. She has published a series of books which she describes as transformative tales for children of every age and coined the term Adult Inner Child to illuminate the genre. Her books involve a range of topics including unconventional learning styles, dyslexia, highly sensitive/perceptive persons (HSPs), creativity, overcoming creative blocks, and collaboration with The Great Imagination. Born curious (in more ways than one), Dr. Karla-la is an explorer of ideas and the realm of imagination. She is a Creativity Coach for authors, artists, and any human-beans that desire a more free, fun, and juicy way of BEing.
