Celebrated tenor and voice teacher of the early 19th Century Marco Bordogni (1788-1856) wrote these comprehensive vocalizes for his voice students. Transcribed and adapted by Johannes Rochut in three books, these vocalizes have become a cornerstone of trombone repertoire. Larry Clark and Sean O'Loughlin have chosen fifty-four of the most melodic and expressive studies that fit the idiosyncrasies of the flute, clarinet and saxophone and presented them in a logical sequence from etudes in the easiest keys and simplest rhythms to more challenging and elaborate studies.
